Route offers package protection for lost, stolen, or damaged orders at an affordable price, giving you peace of mind. It’s 100% optional and can be added before checkout.
How does Package Protection work?
Route package protection is insurance you opt-in for at checkout. You’ll get a Route order confirmation email with links to the Route app and Resolve Center. If your delivery is lost, damaged, or stolen, simply log into the Route Resolve Center to file a claim. Replacement items can be scheduled immediately at no extra cost.
How much does Package Protection cost?
Package protection is optional and based on your cart subtotal:
- Under $100.00 USD: $0.98 flat fee
- Over $100.00 USD: 2% of your cart total
What orders qualify for Package Protection?
- Packages presumed lost must be filed no sooner than 7 days after the last tracking update for US domestic shipments and within 30 days.
- Missing packages marked “delivered” must be filed 5 days after delivery but no longer than 15 days.
- Damaged items must be clearly unusable, and further evidence may be required.
What orders do not qualify for Package Protection?
Package protection does not cover wrong items received, short shipped deliveries, or products that didn’t meet expectations.
Does Package Protection work on Subscriptions?
Yes, it covers both one-time and recurring orders. The protection fee is added to each scheduled order.
I didn’t mean to add Route Package Protection. What do I do?
Once shipped, protection cannot be reversed. If your package is lost, damaged, or stolen, you can quickly replace items at no extra charge.
By opting out of package protection, Humane Diet is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
